Katrin Bromber-Collection

Dr. Katrin Bromber has extensive expertise in African studies, linguistics, and the social history of sport, with a particular focus on East Africa (Ethiopia, Tanzania) and Swahili studies. She has played a key role in shaping the research landscape at the ZMO over two decades, particularly through her leadership of research groups.

Dr. Katrin Bromber's preliminary estate comprises 29 archive boxes (KB.01 – KB.29). In addition to the physical holdings, the collection includes an extensive digital component (63.3 GB) that preserves the hierarchical structures of the original research work. The collection documents primary sources, field notes, and internal project materials from over 30 years of research. The holdings are a central testimony to the interdisciplinary work at the ZMO and are available to researchers in hybrid form.

The collection is located in the ZMO repository.
