Call for Papers: Nights and Nocturnality in South Asia

The workshop will be held at Leibniz Zentrum Moderner Orient under the aegis of the ERC funded research project, Timely Histories. It will be held on 28−29 November 2024.

We invite one-page abstracts (max. 1000 words). Please email your abstracts to timely.histories(at) by 05 August 2024.

Call for Papers: Human-Environment Relations in Central Asia

The Leibniz-Zentrum Moderner Orient (ZMO) and the Central Asian Studies Network in Germany (CASNiG) cordially invite you to submit an abstract for the 5th annual CASNiG conference on "Human-Environment Relations in Central Asia: Flows, Frictions and Frontiers". The conference will take place at the ZMO in Berlin on 12-13 November 2024.

Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words and contain the title of the paper, the name and affiliation of the author(s), and up to five keywords. In addition to individual papers, we are also open to alternative forms of knowledge dissemination, such as mini-workshops, roundtables, or artistic interventions.
