Migration and Decolonisation

The Birmingham-Berlin Talks are a collaborative effort between Leibniz-Zentrum Moderner Orient (ZMO) in Berlin and the Centre for Russian, European and Eurasian Studies (CREES) in Birmingham, United Kingdom. 

We will be holding 3 online events over the next 3 months – in April, May and June. They will be organised as ‘brown bag lunch’ sessions, so please feel free to bring your lunch when joining us!

  • Dr Aksana Ismailbekova (ZMO) Through the Prism of Decoloniality:  The Soviet Legacy on Family in Central Asia
